Nenzel, Nebraska native Tucker Ravenscroft snagged his first official ProRodeo win at the Inter-State Rodeo. The rodeo took place August 15-16 in Coffeyville, Kansas.
A 4.2 second run in a muddy slack propelled Ravenscroft to the top of the leaderboard where he remained until the rodeo’s end. Ravenscroft left the Inter-State Rodeo $1,513 richer and is currently sitting 14th in the steer wrestling’s Resistol Rookie of the Year Race.
“I drew a good steer and rode Dru Melvin’s horse,” said Ravenscroft. “Colton Swearingen hazed for me and I did the best I could.”
Ravenscroft’s next rodeo appearance will be Friday, August 16 at the Oregon Trail Rodeo in Hastings. As he looks ahead to the 2025 season, he hopes to apply the things he has learned in his rookie year.
“I want to be more in shape and stronger mentally to be able to control what I can control,” said Ravenscroft. Listen to comments from Tucker Ravenscroft here:
We would like to thank everyone for the support on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Eric, Shannon and Family
4th of July celebrations were big events back in 1900's. T O Grove near Cody Nebraska was a destination for bronc riding and picnics. No arena but looked like plenty of shade for spectators. Eric Ravenscroft said this. "It’s on our place just over the hill. My grandfather Elvin Adamson remembers being there as a little boy. The last year they had it he gave away a model t roadster to the all around cowboy." Any more comments please add. We love history. Eric says it's in the cherry county history books.
Watch for more information and new photographs of the area today.

I really don’t know where to start with this mare but I know I owe her more than I could ever give. I’m truly heartbroken to say that Cherry Bomb will no longer be able to do the job she loves most. Yesterday morning we found out that she fractured her pelvis while giving every ounce of effort she could during a run.
This mare has been such a blessing in my life and I can’t thank her enough. The journey we’ve had thus far has been great. From the beginning of college to a great first year of rodeoing hard. We’ve gone through some times where we probably both were wondering why we didn’t just quit and times where we thought we could never lose. However, through the highest highs and the lowest lows, we were always together. I love this mare more than I could ever express in words and it completely breaks my heart to have this happen. All I can do is give her thanks and try to make her as comfortable as possible through this time of recovery. -Tyler
